Forge grew out of the Salt and Light UK network of churches, of which it was formerly a part. It already existed as a sphere of strong mutually enriching relationships, supporting one-another for growth and development.
Over time, and as greater identity emerged, consideration was given to a name that captured the essence and aspirations of this shared identity. This has resulted in adopting the name Forge, developing a greater clarity of vision and enabling more specific direction in its development and activities.
At its core, Forge values the relationship between our churches, makes room for the unique enabling contribution of each church, celebrates shared mission foci, and is committed to working effectively together to further God's kingdom in our area of the UK, and beyond.
