Forge is a collaboration of churches which primarily connects through relationship.

Mutuality and trust are built through on-to-one connection, ad hoc meetings, cross-pollination, regular group video calls and shared activities.

From this place of trust and relationship, vision and momentum develop and emerge. Youth workers and young people have started to find one-another and dream together, church leaders have drawn support both personally and for their work, and the recognition of different gifts and ministries have helped to improve our effectiveness.

Why Forge?

Developing Leaders

Shared leadership development has begun for both adults and young people, churches have started to gather together at camps (such as Big Church Day Out), whilst leaders gather regularly at events, training days and retreats.

Doing Mission Together

We have a shared desire to play our part in reaching this nation and other nations for Christ. This has given us momentum in shaping our shared vision. Our joint resource as Forge surpasses that which any one church can provide and we are keen to use that resource to enrich the local churches, support local church leaders, and together reach beyond our own borders.

Strengthening Churches

As part of our emphasis on mutuality, senior leaders often move around visiting the Forge churches. This gives us a feel for our different locations and provides opportunities to pray, prophesy, share vision and support each of the churches in the sphere.

Movement

We are a diverse movement that seeks to release, strengthen and pioneer, focussing on building participatory churches across the South and South East, UK.

We invite all people to enter the Kingdom of God whatever their background or culture.

I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.
— Joel 2:28, The Bible

 Creation Care

Resources

Videos

Watch the recent Forge training event on Creation, Crisis & Care.

Forge hosted a two evening training called Creation, Crisis and Care. In this first session we heard from Dr. Ruth Valerio, who is a theologian, activist and author of numerous books. She speaks powerfully on the big picture of creation and care, the part that humanity can and should play.

It's part two of the Creation, Crisis and Care training event. In this video Dr. Ruth Valerio shares some ways that you can be involved with creation care. We then get to hear from Colin Andrews who is highly integrated with creation care efforts across the Basingstoke area. Lastly, Lannah Agreda shares about how the cafe she owns, Pueblo looks to have a holistic approach including being environmentally friendly and pointing people towards caring for our creation as much as possible
